PURPOSE:To clean a magnetic head with no direct touch to said magnetic head by producing high-pressure air by a pneumatic pump in response to the open/ close actions of a cover caused by the loading/unloading a magnetic medium and spraying the high-pressure air to the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The high-pressure air 7 is produced by a pneumatic pump 2 in response to the reciprocating motions 1 caused by the open/close actions of a cover. The high-pressure air thus produced is stored to a reserve tank 3. The air of a considerably high level of pressure is obtained since the cover is opened and closed manually. This high-pressure air stored in the tank 3 is sprayed to a magnetic head 6 from a nozzle 5 through an open/close valve 4 for control of high- pressure air 7 to blow off the dust from the head 6. Thus the head 6 can be simply cleaned since the air 7 is easily produced by the open/close actions of the cover. In addition, the pump 2 attached to the cover serves as a dashpot when the cover is opened and then as a damper when the cover is closed owing to the air 7 functioning as resistance. This prevents sudden open/close actions of the cover. |
