PURPOSE:To enable to enlarge the finned heat transfer surface area and consequently contrive to improve the heat transfer coefficient at the outer periphery of a pipe by a method wherein needle-like materials with minute diameter are bonded densely onto the outer peripheral surface of a heat transfer pipe main body by the flock finishing method. CONSTITUTION:A heat transfer pipe main body 1, onto the outer peripheral surface of which bonding agent 6 is coated by a bonding agent rollers 3 and 3, is successively fed in a space part located at the center of a flocking chamber 4 in order for needle-like materials 2 and 2, which are charged positively in the flocking chamber 4, to densely stick to the bonding agent layer on th outer peripheral surface of the heat transfer pipe main body 1, which is the earthing pole, resulting in manufacturing a finned heat transfer pipe. In this case, only the successive feeding of the heat transfer pipe main body 1 in the space part located at the center of the flocking chamber 4 is enough and no rotation of the heat transfer pipe main body 1 is necessary, resulting in contriving to simplify the device and enabling to bond the needle-like materials 2 and 2 densely and uniformly over the whole outer peripheral body of the heat transfer pipe main body 1. Accordingly, the heat transfer surface area is increased and a heat transfer pipe with large heat transfer coefficient at the outer periphery of the pipe which is optimum for a heat exchanger is obtained. |
