PURPOSE:To allow toner clouds formed in a cleaning device from exiting from the cleaning device and preventing contamination in a copying machine by rotating a brush body in the direction opposite to the moving direction of an image carrier. CONSTITUTION:A brush body of 26mm.phi size formed by implanting acrylic fiber, e.g. ''Beslon'' of, for example, 25muphi thickness in a roll body to 7mm. fiber length and 200,000/cm<2> is used as the brush body, and this is brought in contact with a beltlike organic photosensitive body 1 to about 1mm. contact length and rotated in the opposite direction to and at the same rotating speed with the beltlike organic photosensitive body. Consequently, there is no leak of toner clouds in the cleaning device. |
