PURPOSE:To select a stop-down priority automatic exposure control mode only when a stop-down metering interchangeable lens is installed, by executing a stop-down priority mode in accordance with information of a full-aperture signal pin of an interchangeable lens, and information of a switching means interlocked with an automatic exposure control pin. CONSTITUTION:When a stop-down metering interchangeable lens is installed to a camera body, since an automatic exposure control (AE) pin 292 does not exist, a switch S4 of an AE detecting part 200 is turned on, and since a full-aperture pin 290 does not exist either, a full-aperture diaphragm signal generating circuit 87 outputs a signal of ''1'' to all terminals 87a, 87b and 87c. Accordingly, an output of an AND gate G5 goes to ''1'', and a signal of 82d in the output of a photographing mode storage registor 82 is made selectable. In this regard, in case when a full-aperture use interchangeable lens is installed, it is informed to a user that the display pattern of an external indicator is a manual mode. |
