A device for monitoring combat vehicles, especially armoured combat vehicles, during practice firing with simulated shots. The laser range finder fitted in the combat vehicle is used for shot simulation, which laser range finder emits a further light pulse when the firing button is operated. Whenever a light pulse which is used for shot simulation is emitted, a divergent lens which enlarges the beam angle is connected into the beam path of the laser. Every combat vehicle furthermore has devices for receiving and displaying a striking light pulse. A television recording apparatus is coupled to an aiming or observation apparatus in every combat vehicle and can be connected via a video link to a television set which is arranged in a control point. At least two television sets are located in the control point, each of which is allocated to a predetermined group of combat vehicles. As long as the firing button is not operated in any of the combat vehicles, the image supplied from the aiming or observation apparatus of a selected combat vehicle appears on each television set. As soon as a firing button is operated, the image supplied from the aiming or observation apparatus of this combat vehicle appears on the television set for a predetermined time period.
