PURPOSE:To segment data of one word started from an optional bit position by crossing rectangularly an input data line with an output data line, providing a switch to the intersecting point, and controlling the designation of opening/closing the switch. CONSTITUTION:When a control signal 300 is asserted, input signals 200-231 are outputted as they are from a switch matrix 250. At the assertion of a control signal 301, the input signals 200-231 are shifted by one digit in the left and outputted. Similarly, switches 10 are connected so that input signals are shifted to the left and outputted by control signals 302-331. In a switch matrix 450 similarly, input signals 400-431 are transmitted to output lines 100-131 and the input signals are shifted to the left and outputted by control signals 301-332. Since 32-bit data are applied to input lines 200-231, 400-431 respectively, the combined data consisting of double word-length are inputted to an extractor. Therefore, 32-bit data are extracted from an optional bit position of input data having 32X2 bit width.
