PURPOSE:To measure the concentration of a solution quickly, by providing an X-ray generator and an X-ray detector so as to face each other with a container of a solution to be measured in between, providing a concentration measuring circuit, and moving the container in the projecting direction of the X rays by a processing computer and a driving device. CONSTITUTION:X rays from an X-ray generator 1 are converted by a collimator 2 and projected on a container 3, which contains a solution to be measured 4. The X rays are inputted to an X-ray detector 6 through a collimator 5. The result reaches a processing computer 8 through a measuring circuit 7. The relationship between the concentration of the solution and the thickness of the container, which gives the best statistic measuring accuracy to the concentration, is stored in the processing computer 8 beforehand. Based on the approximate measured value of the initial concentration of the solution and the stored relationship between the thickness of the container and the concentration of the solution, the vertical movement of the container 3 is instructed to a driving device 9, and the concentration is obtained. Thus, the concentration of the solution can be measured quickly and accurately. |
