For the fluid-tight encapsulation of a valve actuated by a controllable electromagnet, an elastically flexible partition element is provided between the magnet space and the valve-housing space. On the valve-housing space side, in front of the partition element, is a chamber through which a flow of fluid secondary to the main flow flows and in which the fluid pressure acting on the partition element is reduced by a suction effect. This eliminates additional forces, caused by the fluid, acting on the partition element and hence on the tappet of the valve and improves the proportionality between the magnetic force and the fluid pressure. <IMAGE>
