PURPOSE:To detect a fault of a device transmitting a burst signal by using circuit constitution comparatively simple with exclusive OR to a transmission circuit subject to redundancy. CONSTITUTION:The entirely same signal is transmitted to an active and a spare device of each equipment and the same signal is transmitted respectively to points A, A' and points B, B' in Fig. in the same timing. When a transmission equipment is normal, no exclusive OR is established and if there is a fault, the exclusive OR is established. This invention refers to the utilization of this theory and detects a fault of the equipment by comparing both the signals, the signals from the points A, A' or B, B' are detected by 18, 18', converted into a DC pulse signal in response to the burst signal, inputted to an exclusive OR circuit 24 so as to detect occurrence of the fault. |
