A clincher to permit the placing of clinching caps on and round sealed bung holes is tiltably mounted to provide compensation for inclination of bung holes in such a way that it is held centered when in a raised position, but is completely released once it has been lowered onto the bung hole, so that it can be lowered oblique so as to lie flatly on the bung hole.
