PURPOSE:To provide a decorative sheet that has a patterning material therein and smooth surfaces, by heating and rolling a composite pellet material comprising a PVC matrix material that has been gelled to a lower degree and a PVC patterning material that has been gelled to a lower degree and has been treated at a higher temperature than that of the PVC matrix material. CONSTITUTION:A releasing paper is coated with a colored PVC paste followed by heating to 80-120 deg.C to gel the paste so that a lower-gelled sheet having a thickness of up to 80% of that of the desired decorative sheet is obtained. Then the sheet is pelletized to give a patterning material having a particle size of 20- 50 mesh. This patterning material is mixed with 30% by volume of a PVC paste to cover the patterning material particles therewith, and the paste is heated to 70-100 deg.C to be solidified so that composite pellets having a particle size of 12- 3 mesh and comprising one or more patterning materials 1A, 1B and a matrix material 2 in the form of a paste. Then after the pellets are preheated, they are passed between calender rolls 4, 4' to be formed into a decorative sheet 5 0.3- 1.5mm. in thickness. |
