The method for heating air for drying involves transferring enthalpy from the outgoing air to the inlet air using exchangers. The exchangers are mounted in batteries to produce a counter-current exchange with enthalpy from a collecting exchanger transmitted to an emitting exchanger. - In a first stage, the level of enthalpy recuperated from the outlet air is raised using a heat pump. The level of enthalpy produced in this stage is further raised in a second stage via compression of the water vapour produced by the heat pump.
