PURPOSE:The titled composition that is composed of a modified polyester resin obtained from a specific polyester resin and an epozy resin and of an alkyl- etherified formaldehyde resin, thus showing excellent adhesion to metal, good foldability, high scratch resistance and errosion resistance. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by mixing e.g., (A) 30- 97wt% of a modified polyester resin obtained by reaction between (i) a polyester from the carboxylic components of 55-99mol% of aromatic dicarboxylic acid, 45-1mol% of aliphatic or alicyclic dicarboxylic acid and at least one of polycarboxylic acid selected from aromatic tri- or more carboxylic acids and from the glycol components of 20-80mol% of alkylene oxide adduct to bisphenol A and 80-20mol% of 2-6C aliphatic polyhydric alcohol and (ii) an epoxy resin, with (B) 3-30wt% of an alkyl-etherified formaldehyde resin and, when necessary, (C) 0-60wt% of pigments.
