PURPOSE:To allow abrasion machining, scale removal, and surface flaw elimination after the rugged face of the flat plate surface by spirally hooking and fixing the lower edge of the woven fablic portion of sector abrasion elements to a cylindrical drum at many places. CONSTITUTION:When a group of sector abrasion elements 1 spirally hooked and fixed by many steel wires 5 to the drum 9 of a grinding roll like a multi-thread screw are pressed to a metal plate, each grinding point follows the curved ruggedness of the metal plate due to the flexibility of the woven fabric portion 3 of the abrasion elements 1 and some left and right sway of the grinding elements 1, the grinding roll exerts the function as an elastic body and grinds the metal surface uniformly in the back and forth and the left and right directions. Since the grinding surface is formed by collecting point grinding due to the advance of the metal plate and the spiral displacement of contacts of the grinding elements 1, no vertical stripe is left on the plate surface. |
