PURPOSE:To detect the position of an element to be detected without providing a rolling preventing mechanism even if rolling occurs, by guiding a detecting means to a detectable position of the element to be detected when the element to be detected is displaced in the breadthwise direction of a carrying path. CONSTITUTION:Rolling of a moving object 26 which is moved to this side and has a slit plate 9 attached is corrected within a prescribed range by side rolls 24a and 24b. Next, the moving object 26 approaches a sensor device 32, and the front edge of the slit plate 9 reaches a guide groove 43a of the device 32. This of front edge is guided by the guide groove 43a and reaches a gap G of a photo sensor 10 and is guided by a guide groove 43b and passes the device 32. If the slit plate 9 is displaced in the Y direction at this time, its front edge is brought into contact with a guide member 41a, and hereafter, a slider 37 is moved in the Y direction against the energizing force of a flat spring 38 according as the slit plate 9 is moved in the X direction. Thus, the slit plate 9 passes always the gap G of the sensor 10. |
