PURPOSE:To extract an accurate color picture and to apply photoelectric conversion to the result by sampling and holding a picture element signal the same in color existing in an area corresponding to the same resolution and adding the result as to an output signal of an image sensor. CONSTITUTION:An R signal is fed to an input terminal 71 from a CCD sensor and sampling signals R1, R2 of the R signal are fed respectively to input terminals 72, 73. Then the signal R is fed to a sampling circuit 74 comprising a switch SW1 and a capacitor C1, and the R1 signal is sampled and held under the control of the signal R1. The R1 signal is added (75) with an input signal at the terminal 71 and fed to a sample-and-hold circuit 76 comprising a switch SW2 and a capacitor C2. The switch SW2 is controlled by the signal R2 and an R1+R2 signal is outputted from an output terminal. Thus, the dead band of the sensor is decreased, the accurate color picture is extracted so as to apply the photoelectric conversion.
