PURPOSE:To enable simple and inexpensive production without deteriorating various characteristics such as wear resistance, coefft. of friction, etc. by forming a protective base plate of a high polymer material. CONSTITUTION:A protective base plate 7 is formed of a high polymer material incorporated therein with inorg. fine particles and lubricating agent. The high polymer material is enumerated by, for example, an epoxy resin, etc. and the inorg. fine particles are enumerated by inorg. fine particles of oxide, such as alumina, silica, zirconia boride, nitride, etc. The preferable lubricating agent is enumerated by a solid lubricating agent such as molybdenum bisulfide. The base plate 7 can be produced by the simple stage of injection molding, etc. from the inexpensive high polymer material according to the above-mentioned constitution of the base plate; moreover the high wear resistance is obtd. by the inorg. fine particles incorporated into the high plymer material. The coefft. of friction of the surface facing a sliding surface 8 is decreased by the lubricating agent incorporated likewise therein and the smooth sliding and good contact between the entire sliding surface 8 and the magnetic recording medium are assured. |
