PURPOSE:To obtain a titled electrophotographic sensitive body which is stabilized to the damping tendency of sensitivity caused by repeated copying by incorporating a specified quinoline derivative into the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:0.3-5wt% 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydro-6-alkoxyquinoline shown by the formula (R is an alkoxyl group, and an alkoxyl group having <=4C is suitable) is incorporated into 100wt% resin in a photosensitive layer. An electrical insulating resin used heretofore in this field such as an epoxy resin and an urethane resin and a photoconductive resin such as polyvinyl carbazol are used as the resin. A photosensitive layer wherein a photoconductive pigment is dispersed, a laminated-layer type consisting of a layer contg. a charge generating pigment and a layer for transferring the charge, and a single-layer type obtained by dispersing the charge generating pigment into the charge transferring layer are all equally used as the photosensitive layer. The decrease in sensitivity after repeated use is prevented by the addition of the quinoline derivative shown by the formula, and the life can be prolonged. |
