<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate stray capacity across anode and cathode electrodes and to provide an element having a large critical off-voltage rise rate (dV/dt) withstanding quantity, by providing a conductive region neighbouring with a gate electrode passing through an electrical insulating member and a connecting member for shortcircuiting the conductive region to the cathode electrode. CONSTITUTION:A conductive metal tube 1 which is mounted coaxially with a gate electrode 102g passing through a side of an electrical insulating member 101 without being contacted with the electrode 102g, is connected to a flange section 101a by a stripe-shaped connecting member 2, and through the flange section 101a to a cathode electrode 102k. Since current for charging a stray capacity C3 across the anode and gate electrodes is flowed into the cathode electrode, erroneous firing which may have occured previously owing to charge current flowing into a gate electrode can be prevented perfectly.</p> |
