PURPOSE:To obtain always uniform outputs without variance even if environmental conditions such as an atmospheric temperature are changed by correcting the output of an original reading cell on the basis of an output from a dummy cell fitted to a solid-state image sensor. CONSTITUTION:The solid-state image sensor 20 is provided with the dummy cell 21 having the same characteristics as the cells of the original reading cell array 11 in addition to the cell array 11. The dummy cell 21 is set up so as to receive always constant quantity of light, and if the environmental conditions such as the peripheral temperature are fixed, always outputs a constant output to an amplifier 22. The signal outputted from the dummy cell 21 is converted into a digital signal through the amplifier 22 and an A/D converter 23 to change the address of a correcting constant ROM25. A factor read out from the correcting constant ROM25 is applied to a correcting circuit 14, multiplied by the output of an amplifier 12, the multiplied signal is outputted from an amplifier 16 and always a uniform output prevented from the influence of the environmental conditions is obtained from a corrected output terminal 17.
