TRACKING MECHANISM OF MAGNETIC RECORDER

PURPOSE:To always designate accurately a track by attaching removably a pad supporter fixing a pad to an attachment plate and therefore exchanging pads according to the wear and in an extremely easy way. CONSTITUTION:A felt 13 serving as a soft pad containing oil is adhered to a pad supporter 12 having a screw hole 14. The supporter 12 can be attached removably to an attachment plate 10 by screwing a screw 16 inserted to an attachment hole 15 of the plate 10 into the hole 14. The felt 13 is worn and deformed with long-period use owing to the pressure-contact force to a screw 4 or the oil contained in the felt 13. In such a case, the screw 16 is unfastened to replace the felt 13 together with the supporter 12. Thus it is possible to set a hook element 9 into the groove of the screw 4 without any play. Thus a head base 5 can be moved with an accurate degree of shift in proportion to the revolving angle of the screw 4. This ensures the accurate designation of tracks of a magnetic tape 2 for a long period of time.
