PURPOSE:To obtain a photographic element for the silver salt diffusion transfer method, good in storage stability before use and that after a formed image, too, and prevented from discoloration and fading, by incorporating a specified 3-(4- carboxyphenyl)-2,3-dihydroimidazole-2-thione deriv. in the image receiving element. CONSTITUTION:A photographic element unchangeable in characteristics during storage before development processing and also good in stability of a developed image is obtained by incorporating in the photographic element for the silver salt diffusion transfer method, one of compds. represented by formulae I and IIin which each of plural R0 may be same or different as or from each other, and each is H, halogen, amino, its salt, NO2, OH, CN, etc., or each optionally substd. group of alkyl, alkoxy, alkylsulfonyl, heterocyclic, or aryl; each of R1 and R2 is H, halogen, optionally substd. alkyl or aryl; R3 is optionally substd. alkyl or aryl, or heterocyclic; A1 is a bivalent group; (m) is 1-4; and (n) is 1 or 2.
