PURPOSE:To improve data in reliability by processing a main data and a sub data with a coding/decoding means and recording and reproducing the data independently to add the data error correction capability to the sub data and increase the information amount. CONSTITUTION:A sample word subject to AD conversion is stored to a memory circuit 102 from an input terminal 102. A coding circuit 103 produces sequentially the correction word at each frame, adds it to the sample word, a modulator 104 applies modulating processing to the correction block and gives from a terminal 105 to a head. Similarly, the correction word is added to the sub data written in a memory circuit 107 and applies it to the head via a modulator 108 and an output terminal 109. The memories 102, 107 have two systems of memories A, B, uses the memory A as the write of sample and uses the memory B as coding and recording, and the write to a magnetic tape medium is performed by switching sequentially the memories A and B. The sub data is coded by utilizing the recording period. |
