PURPOSE:To attain dynamic return control preventing the state of reuse just after undesirable return by using a cell pool unit comprising many cells in a storage device, and checking the idle state of other units when the unit is returned. CONSTITUTION:A storage area in a storage device consists of a cell 6, which has a usable area 7 and assigned cell pool unit information (or its storage area) 8. When the cell is in idle state while being in use at present, a cell return device 1 receives a return request and returns the cell, then knows the cell pool unit based on the information 8 of the return object cell and controls that the return object cell is assigned to an idle cell chain in the unit and when all the cells in the unit are idle, it is informed to a controller start processing section 4. The processing section 4 decides whether or not the return object unit is to be returned truly based on the notice and when it is to be returned, it is informed to a return control device 3. |
