摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To restrain the variation of sheet thickness caused by the vibration of a fluid-pressure piping by detecting the hunting of an output signal of a rolling down force control device used for deciding the vibrating condition of the fluid- pressure piping and controlling the gain of a rolling down force control system basing on the decided results. CONSTITUTION:In controlling a rolling reduction mechanism 8, to which a working fluid is supplied through a fluid-pressure piping 20 for rolling down a rolling reduction roll of mill, in accordance with a detecting signal P of a rolling down force detector 9 by a sheet-thickness control circuit 11 having a rolling-down- force AGC device 12; a prescribed decision means decides whether or not the piping 20 is in a state of vibration by deciding whether or not a control signal outputted from the AGC device 12 is kept within a range of prescribed level, and a prescribed gain-control means controls the gain of the circuit 11 basing on the decided results to restrain the variation of the sheet thickness of a strip 1 caused by the vibration of piping 20. In this way, the responsiveness in the control system is enhanced, and the sheet thickness is precisely controlled.</p>
