Cooling bench for extruded aluminium sections

The cooling bench for aluminium sections delivered by an extrusion press comprises a (roller) conveyor. Transversely actuated lift rods transfer the sections laterally on to transverse fixed support rods of the cooling section. Frther transverse lift rods move the sections in the direction towards a straightening station and a length cutting station. Final transfer to these stations is effected by alternately operating intermeshed conveyors, e.g. vertically swivellable transverse endless belts and roller tracks moving the sections length-wise. This feeds the stations which are arranged in-line, parallel to the conveyor.
