PURPOSE:To automatically open a closing cover simultaneously with the movement of a carrier vehicle upon use of a searchligh, by forming an opening in the front end part of the bow section below an exposed deck and as well by connecting the closing cover for the opening to the carrier vehicle carrying the searchlight, through a linkage. CONSTITUTION:A closing cover 17 is attached to an opening 14 formed in the front end part of the bow section below a exposed deck 12. A searchlight 26 is set on a carrier vehicle 23 which is arranged in a hull below the exposed deck 12 is movable transversely with prespect to the opening 14. The carrier vehicle 23 and the closing cover 17 are connected together by means of a linkage 31 so that the open an close operation of the closing cover 17 may be automatically made in association with the movement of the carrier vehicle. Accordingly, the setting of the searchlight may be made by one crew.
