<p>PURPOSE:To provide a denture base lined with a copolymer containing a monomer having a fluorine-containing oligomer as an ester component, capable of moderating the biting pressure transmitted to the oral mucosa, and having improved fittability and adhesivity between the denture and the alveolar ridge. CONSTITUTION:The objective denture base is lined with a copolymer composed of (A) 100pts.(wt.) of a monomer component of formula (R1 is H or CH3; R2 is fluorine-containing oligomer having a molecular weight of <=1,500) and (B) 3- 30pts., preferably 5-25pts. of an alkyl (meth)acrylate having 1-5C alkyl group. The lining can be carried out by dissolving (C) 0.1-2.0pts. of an organic peroxide (preferably benzoyl peroxide, etc.) or (D) 0.05-1.0pt. of an aromatic tertiary amine (preferably dimethyl p-toluidine, etc.) either in 100pts. of the component A or in 3-30pts. of the component B, and casting and polymerizing the mixture on the lining surface of the denture base.</p> |
