摘要 PURPOSE:To perform safe slewing through early detection of a trouble, by a method wherein 2 different pulse signals generated from a rotary encoder are detected by counters at each set time to find a difference in the number of detecting pulses, and when the result exceeds a set value, an alarm device is automatically actuated. CONSTITUTION:A rotary encoder 12, mounted to a slewing table 2, generates 2 different pulse signals, which differ in a phase from each other, along with rotation of the slewing table 2, and the generated pulse signals are detected by counters 21A and 21B at each set time T. A comparing circuit 23, which detects whether a difference in the number of detecting pulses exceeds a set value, is provided, and when a difference in the number of detecting pulses exceeds the set value, an alarm device 22 is actuated. In response to two pulse signals outputted from the rotary endoder 12, rotation directions R and L and a rotary angle theta of the slewing table 2 are detected by a circuit 13, and the slewing table 2 is automatically stopped to a set position thetaf. This enables sharply the improvement of safety of an automatic stop work of the slewing operation.
