PURPOSE:To enable reusing of a direct access volume quickly by restoring only the destroyed track when initializing of a direct access volume or surface inspection is finished halfway. CONSTITUTION:When an unexpected accident occurs in the midst of initializing/surface inspection treatment, a restoration termination controller 9 terminates the treatment abnormally and activates a task abnormality aftertreatment part 10 to run an abnormal termination exit routine which was prepared beforehand. This routine reads out a track address CCHH terminating a run halfway in a track address registor 7, issues a WTO macro command and displays the track address CCHH on a display 2 by a display processor 11. Then the restoration termination controller 9 executes aftertreatment and terminates it. A user specifies a termination track address CCHH indicated on the display 2 and inputs the command to resume initializing/surface inspection treatment from an input device 3. |
