PURPOSE:To obtain a rotary pump with improved sealing properties and good pumping efficiency by providing deformable plate bodies which are to be arranged at the prescribed intervals along the outer circumferential face of a rotor and which are swollen out into the fluid flow pass by being pressed with the fluid pressure supplied intermittently. CONSTITUTION:A circular fluid flow pass 111 is formed between the outer circumferential face of a rotor 102 and the inner face of a casing 101, and a partition block 104 is set up between an intake vent 105 and a delivery vent 106 of this flow pass. Also along the outer circumferential face of the rotor 102, plural sets, each consisting of a deformable plate body 103, a pressure accumulating chamber 107, and a porous plate 108, are arranged at the prescribed intervals. And each pressure accumulating chamber 107 is equipped with a port 107a which connects its inside and outside. Thus, when a pressurized fluid is taken into the pressure accumulating chamber 107, the deformable plate body swells out and closely touches on the casing to form a working chamber with little leakage.
