PURPOSE:To attain constant luminance by changing a luminance signal level in proportion to the picture size at inverting switching in a television receiver displaying a left/right and upper/lower inverting picture. CONSTITUTION:A power voltage which is modulated so as to be smaller gradually before switching and so as to be larger gradually after switching is applied to a deflection output circuit 5 at the inversion switching. The size of the non- inverted picture is decreased gradually at the inverting switching, the polarity of a horizontal deflection coil 8 is switched so as to obtain a picture inverted for left/right position and then the size of the left/right inverted picture is increased gradually and the left/right inverted picture of a prescribed size is displayed. Moreover, a modulation voltage from a modulation voltage generating circuit 3 is applied to a luminance signal level control circuit 10, the luminance signal level is controlled to a large/small value depending on the level of the modulation voltage and the luminance is kept nearly to a constant value. |
