PURPOSE:To render the grid wires of a electric discharger thinner and higher in tensile strength at the same time, and to enable the output voltage of a transformer to be lowered, by treating the surface of the wire base made of an aramide fiber to form an electrically conductive coat on the surface. CONSTITUTION:A gold-plated layer or gold deposited layer (B) from the vapor phase is formed on the surface of the wire base (A) made of an aramide fiber as an electrically conductive layer by the known surface treatment techniques. As a result, although the diameter of the wire is small, tensile strength is far stronger, accordingly, necessary output voltage of a transformer can be lowered, and the obtained wire is made excellent in performance. |
