PURPOSE:To restore the state without on-hook when no dial tone is detected by displaying to the user that a dial tone is detected and the transmission system is muted and providing a pause release key. CONSTITUTION:In a telephone set connected to a private branch of exchange (PBX), after a DTMF signal corresponding to a dial [0] is transmitted to a dial signal generating means 11 by a microcomputer 6 while dial operation of [0], [pause] [1] [2]... a transmission system amplifier 10 is muted by a transmission mute means 8 and a transmission display device 7 displays the muting. Furthermore, the dial information of [1], [2]... is stored in a storage means 5. When a dial tone from a telephone station is detected by a dial tone detection means 15, the computer 6 releases a mute means 8 and a display device 7, reads the dial information stored in a storage device and transmits a dial signal. If muting state continues due to any reason, the user operates a pause release key 3 to release the muting of the transmission system. |
