PURPOSE:To record graphics, graphes and the like efficiently by operating a paper shifter and a printer according to the sequence stored in a memory to relatively move a recording paper and a printing element with a special type for plotting. CONSTITUTION:A controller 22 operates to write to plotting data inputted into a memory 21. The controller 22 outputs a position data, a type data and no. of division data into a drive controller 25 on a plotting program accessed from a memory 23 based on a plotting code of the memory 21. Based on the position data inputted, the drive controller 25 drives and runs a paper feeding stepping motor 3 and a carriage stepping motor 7 to perform a two-dimensional movement of a recording paper 4 relatively to a printing element 10. It 25 also drives and runs a stepping motor 9 for type selection to turn a selected special type 10a to the recording position while the special type 10a selected is struck on the recording paper 4 through an ink ribbon with a recording hammer 11 to record a symbol corresponding to the special type 10a. |
