PURPOSE:To prevent water from entering into a passenger's compartment from the lower section of a dripping groove, by providing, in the lower side corner section of a vehicle opening edge, a weir which inhibits water from flowing around from the side section into the lower section of the dripping groove. CONSTITUTION:A weather strip 7 is attached to the front end flange 6 of a dripping groove D for water discharge, which is formed in the peripheral edge of the opening 2 of a back door. The lateral section 14 of the dripping groove has such that a cross-sectioned shape has a stepped part 15 formed in the inside of the groove D. The lateral wall 16 of the stepped part 5 has a surface which is gradually inclined toward the lower side corner section of the back door opening edge while it forms a weir 16' between itself and the lower section 13 of the dripping groove D. Further, the upper wall 17 of the stepped section 15 is smoothly connected to the bottom surface of the lower section 13 of the dripping groove at the lower side corner section 5. |
