ELECTRON DONOR COMPOUNDS AND PHOTOCONDUCTIVE CHARGE TRANSPORT MATERIALS

摘要

Organic electron donor compounds for use in electrophotographic constructions tend to suffer from problems of molecular weight non-uniformity and oxi-dation. Bis-benzocarbazole derivatives have been found to resist the oxidation and oligomerization which are a source of these problems. The bis-benzocarbazole derivative is an electrically active donor compound of the formula < IMG > where X is a group selected from < IMG > wherein R and Y are independently selected from the group consisting of aliphatic, aromatic, and mixed aliphatic-aromatic groups.
