The traffic sign support comprises a supporting pipe for a traffic sign or the like which is fitted together via an intermediate sleeve with a holder (tubular or massive piece) anchored fixedly in the ground. The intermediate sleeve consists of two, preferably conical pipes one inside the other, of which the outer pipe is constructed as a corrugated pipe approximately in the centre of its length. In the event of relatively small bendings, the traffic sign can readily right itself again without its functioning being impaired. In the event of greater damage, the outer corrugated pipe acts as a type of restraining strap and prevents breaking off at the nominal point of break. The invention makes it possible to exchange damaged traffic signs easily and, if appropriate, to set them in operation again without renewing parts. <IMAGE> |
