A veterinary composition useful for treatment of energy depletion, dehydration and electrolyte imbalance in diarrhoeic neonatal animals consisting essentially of (a) glucose in an amount sufficient to produce a concentration level of from greater than 200 nM to 250 mM when in an aqueous solution, (b) one or more sodium salts in an amount sufficient to produce a sodium ion concentration level of from 60 mM to 120 mM when in an aqueous solution, and (c) one or more chloride salts in an amount sufficient to produce a chloride ion concentration level of 50 mM to 90 mM when in an aqueous solution. |
