The invention relates to a device for rotational actuation of a plate or disc without a shaft as well as an apparatus comprising such a device. This device comprises a plate 1 mounted rotatably on a fixed chassis 3. The plate 1 comprises a central cutout 4 in which passes a column 6 fixed onto the chassis 3. The column 6 is provided over its periphery situated at the intersection of the plane of the plate 1 and of the column 6 with means 8 for lateral guidance of the plate 1. A drive crown 12 for the plate is mounted externally to column 6 and is integral with the plate 1 and this column 6 supports a drive means 16 such as a motor, for example electric, driving the drive crown 12 in rotation. This device, for example incorporated into an apparatus for diffusion of multiple information, such as advertising information, and very compact, protects the drive system perfectly against impacts as well as against bad weather. <IMAGE>
