PURPOSE:To uniformly supply reaction gas to an electrode by forming a current collecting plate with pore opened porous material, and installing reaction gas path on the gas separating plate side of the current collecting plate. CONSTITUTION:Pore opened porous material having large porosity and pore diameter, and easily capable of passing of gas is desirable as a current collecting plate 12. Commercially available foam metal of nickel or nickel fiber mat can be used for the plate 12, or it is manufactured by sintering nickel powder. By forming groove, or gas flow path 12, on the main surface, a current collecting plate 12 having gas flow path bonded together with current collecting plate is obtained. Reaction gas passing gas flow path 11 is uniformly and easily supplied to electrodes 3 and 5 through current collecting plates 12 and 13 formed with pore opened porous material respectively and electrode reaction occurs. |
