PURPOSE:To prevent the surface of a photosensitive body from the generation of flaws by making the shape of carriers in a two-component type developing agent like a spherical shape. CONSTITUTION:The shape of carriers in the developing agent is approximately spherical. The approximate sphere in the shape of the carriers does not require a precisely true sphere and means a spherical shape which does not have sharply projected angles at the outer surface of the carrier. Carriers having 50-250mumphi grain size and 10<8>-10<12>OMEGA.cm fixed resistance value are preferably used. If carriers having 50mumphi grain size or less are used, restraint to the magnet is reduced and the carriers adhere to the photosensitive body by centrifugal force due to the rotation of a developing sleeve. If carriers having 250mumphi grain size or more are used, the allowable width of a toner mixing ratio is reduced and highly accurate toner replenishment control should be required. |
