<p>PURPOSE:To protect various components against an abnormal voltage due to the displacement of control of an AVR by operating a breaker to open a circulting loop of phase advancing current when a capacitive load is connected so that an output voltage exceeds the prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A main generating coil MC and an auxiliary generating coil SC are wound on a stator, the output of the coil SC is rectified to excite a field coil FC wound on a rotor, a field current is controlled by an AVR1 and a controller 2 which includes a Zener diode 2D and transistors Q1, Q2 to maitain the output voltage constant. The voltage rise when a capacitive load L such as a high power factor mercury lamp is connected to the output is detected by a detector 3, and a breaker NFB is turned OFF by the signal. Accordingly, the control of the AVR is displaced by the circulating loop of the phase advancing current to generate an abnormal voltage. Thus, the load and the AVR can be portected.</p> |
