Holder for helical spring between machine parts

Two locating surfaces on the ends of a flexible central member (10) have a knob (13) on one side to locate the spring (21). A recess (18) on the side mates with projections (24,25) on support elements (22,23) to form knife-edge bearings. Pref. the assembly is made of resilient plastics material and the recesses each have a second recess at a right angle to accommodate a further projection on the support elements to form a transverse guide. The central member is U-shaped and the spring lies between the ends of the arms of the U.
