PURPOSE:The titled composition having improved storage stability to temperature and light rays, obtained by adding cysteine to shikonin or its derivative which is useful as a dyestuff or drug and blended with a cosmetic, drug, or food. CONSTITUTION:One or more of shikonin, an extract collected from the rhizome of Lithospermum officinale Linne var. erythrorhizon Maximowicz, which was used as a naturally occurring dyestuff having beautiful color tone of purple from a long time ago, having promoting action on formation of granulation, sterilizing and antimicrobial action, hemostatic action, and shikonin derivatives are blended with cysteine (either of D-form and DL-form, but especially perferably L-form) in a weight ratio of (1:1)-(1:100), to give a composition. |
