The present invention relates to a mast and spars for a sail boat. This mast and spars comprises essentially a mast 2, the upper part 3 of which supporting the sails is offset by virtue of an arm 5 with respect to the foot 10 of the mast which is mounted rotatably on the boat, the upper part 3 of the mast being equipped at its base 4 with a roller bearing means allowing the movement of this upper part 3 along a circular arc in a guide track 8 in the shape of a circular arc extending between the two sides 11 of the boat 1. The masts and spars of the invention applies to all types of sail boat whether they are merchant, pleasure or fishing boats. <IMAGE>
