The invention relates to a hydraulic press for press-moulding plastic mats reinforced with glass fibres to form mouldings, having a fixed and a movable press traverse as well as a press drive. In order to achieve a drive with a high pressing accuracy during the pressing operation, the movable press traverse (14; 71) is driven by at least one displacement cylinder (15; 72, 73) with a stroke length (17; 75) corresponding to the working stroke (16; 74) of the press (1; 70) and at least two press cylinders (18, 19, 20, 21; 76, 77, 78, 79) of short press stroke (22; 80) which can be coupled to the movable press traverse (14; 71). A very short force flux is thus ensured during the pressing operation within the hydraulic press, tending to reduce the dimensional change of the press and to favour the pressing accuracy. <IMAGE> |
