PURPOSE:To eliminate the deterioration and deformation of machine parts by preventing heat conduction to drum shafts and flange parts, by interposing a heat insulating material between a drum-body part which receives high temperature heat and the shafts and flange parts of the drum. CONSTITUTION:In a steel material storing device; heat insulating materials 5, 5 are interposed between the contacting parts of a drum-body part 1 and flange parts 2, 2, and also a heat insulating material 6, 6 is incorporated in the thick wall-thickness part of the part 1 in its longitudinal and circumferential directions. Further, a heat insulating cover 10 is proveded so as to cover the whole body of storing device, then the whole outer circumference of the device is covered, and a heat insulating material 12 is sticked to the inside of an outer skin 11. Moreover, plural heat radiating fins 7, 7 are provided to shaft parts 3, 3 in the longitudinal direction of the shafts 3, 3. The insides of shafts 3, 3 are formed into cavities, and a pipe 9 is inserted into them to jet a cooling gas. The cooling gas is jetted to said cavities and also to the internal space of the drum body 1, to cool the inner part of the material 6 incorporated in the drum body 1. |
