METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATIC CUING A method and apparatus for providing cues to a hearing impaired or deaf person to aid in lipreading in which phonemes are detected and analyzed to project an image into the field of view of the hearing impaired or deaf person identifying one of a plurality of groups of consonants and vowels together defining a syllable.
