发明名称 Gravure/offset printing plate
摘要 In a novel reproduction technique developed under the name "cut art graphics" along with the necessary gravure/offset printing plate and intended for producing pictorial works of art in small print runs, a 2-3 mm thick, manually or technologically as a screen, fairly soft plastic plate is provided with various types of incisions 0.1 to 0.5 mm deep which hold and guide the ink. Paste-consistency transfer ink is applied, manually or technologically, as a reverse image to said plate, and illustrated, drawn, dotted or printed on. The choice of motif is optional or reproduced beforehand. The impression produced by the ink-coated plate is screen-free for the purpose of half-tone printing or grainless for the purpose of collotype. The technology as a whole is that of oscillating-roller printing. The ink is removed, manually or technologically, from the screen incisions by pressure (gravure printing) and the ink in the flat interstices (offset printing) is simultaneously transferred to the printing base. When made manually, the finished cut art graphics are originals. Reproductions which are made technologically and are screen-free or grainless have the effect of originals. Technologically, the use of modern reproduction technology up to plate ink application and ink transfer also result in originally textured effects. The gravure/offset printing plate can be used for rational and irrational duplication of cut art graphics or similar reproductions.
